We were guided by two KKL Visitor Centre staff, and the information we were given, either directly or following questions, was very comprehensive. Everyone found something of interest for themselves, and I think that we all went home with the impression that the facility is in good hands and everything possible is being done to keep it in a safe condition.
At times we were split into two groups, as some of the exhibits are too small for the whole group to get close to. The 3D goggles giving a 360° view from above the reactor when it was opened up during the annual maintenance period was very impressive, and if it had not been for the rail to hold onto it could have induced vertigo, because wherever you turned your head you felt that you were suspended in space! And the Centre is equipped with lifts, so that anyone in a wheelchair can move to all of the exhibits.
We were given drinks and sweet snacks at the end, with the whole process lasting just over two hours.
In all, a successful Club Event!
